To see the full 1 Gbps on a single device, you'll want a Gigabit Ethernet connection or a Wi-Fi 5 or newer wireless card. Your installer will show you how to test your speeds accurately and explain what to expect from wired vs. wireless connections.

We provide the router, and it's a commercial-grade unit built for higher device counts and multiple simultaneous users. To see the full 1 Gbps on an individual device, you'll need a Gigabit Ethernet port (standard on most laptops, desktops, and consoles from the last decade) or a Wi-Fi 5 or newer wireless card. Older devices will still work, they just run at their own maximum speed rather than 1 Gbps.

ProtectIQ protects your home network, so devices connected to your home Wi-Fi are protected. When you're using cellular data or public Wi-Fi away from home, your device isn't covered by ProtectIQ.

MyPrioritiesIQ uses quality-of-service settings to allocate bandwidth based on the priorities you set. Through the Gibson Connect Smart Home App, you select which devices matter most in the moment, and the router makes sure those devices get the bandwidth they need before lower-priority devices.
