Recognizing the people behind the service
Do you remember who helped you set up your account when you moved into a new home? Or took the time to walk you through the Gibson Co-ops app, answer a question about your internet service or troubleshoot a problem? What about the dispatcher who remained calm when you called to report a downed power line?
Oct. 5-9 is Customer Service Week, and Gibson Electric Membership Corporation is recognizing the friendly faces and familiar voices who help customers every day.
Whether they’re helping navigate everyday questions, responding during an outage, troubleshooting technical issues or connecting customers with available resources, Gibson’s customer service team plays an important role in the lives of the people the cooperative serves.
Customer service has changed significantly during Gibson Electric’s 90-year history. What was once conducted almost exclusively through office visits and phone calls now includes a helpful website (gibsoncoops.com) and the Gibson Co-ops app, designed to make doing business with the cooperative more convenient.
“Our customers have more options than ever before,” said Rita Alexander, Gibson Electric vice president of customer and employee relations. “Whether they prefer to visit us in person, call for assistance or manage their account online, our goal remains the same: to provide them with the exceptional customer service they expect from their local cooperative.”
As technology continues to evolve, Gibson Electric and Gibson Connect remain focused on finding new ways to serve customers while keeping helpful, dependable support at the heart of customer service.
“We’re grateful for our customer service and technical support teams,” Alexander said. “Their dedication and professionalism help shape the experience our customer-owners have with us every day. We appreciate all they do for the people and communities we serve.”
